Where does the money I paid for the products go?
The funds received from product purchases go directly into the organization’s bank account. We use this money to purchase specific products from Amazon, which are then delivered to our warehouse. From there, we package and ship these products to those in need in Ethiopia.
Why do I need to provide my address?
The address field is a placeholder, and you do not need to enter a real address. It is there to allow donors to choose where their contributions go and which products they wish to support. All items purchased are shipped directly to our warehouse, not to your address.
How do you choose the communities you support?
We select the communities we support based on their lack of resources and the specific needs of those areas. Our team on the ground in Ethiopia assesses the local circumstances and any ongoing conflicts to ensure that our assistance is both safe and effective. Our primary goal is to provide meaningful resources tailored to the unique challenges faced by each community while prioritizing the safety and well-being of all involved.
What types of products are purchased?
We purchase essential medical supplies, first aid kits, and other healthcare items to send to communities in Ethiopia. Our focus is on healthcare necessities and hygiene products that address the specific needs identified in these communities.
Where does the money from the GoFundMe go?
The funds raised through our GoFundMe campaign are allocated towards purchasing products based on the healthcare necessities identified in our targeted communities. We evaluate which items are most needed and direct our funds accordingly. Additionally, a portion of the funds goes towards shipping, packaging, and setting aside resources for our future trips to Ethiopia.
Can I donate items directly instead of money?
Currently, we primarily accept monetary donations to ensure we can purchase the most
appropriate and necessary items for the communities we support. This allows us to select essential medical supplies, first aid kits, and hygiene products tailored to the specific needs of each community . While we appreciate offers to donate items directly, monetary contributions enable us to respond more effectively to the urgent needs of the people we serve. How long does it take for the products to reach Ethiopia?
Typically, it takes about 2 to 3 weeks for products to reach Ethiopia. This timeframe can vary depending on factors such as how quickly the items arrive at our warehouse, our shipping efficiency, and the local logistics involved in delivering the products to specific communities. We strive to ensure timely delivery to meet the urgent needs of those we support.
What is the shipping process like?
The shipping process begins when we receive payment for the products selected by our
customers. Our team then uses these funds to purchase the specific items directly from Amazon and have them shipped to our warehouse. Once the products arrive at our warehouse, we carefully package them and hand them over to our delivery team. We coordinate with our contacts in the capital city of Ethiopia, where the items are then shipped to them. From there, our partners in the Addis Ababa distribute the products to rural communities in need. This process ensures that the necessary supplies reach those who need them most efficiently.
