FOUNDER & CEO

My name is Roza Ayele, and I am the founder of CARE. Growing up in Ethiopia until the age of 10, I saw firsthand how difficult it was for many families in rural communities to access even the most basic healthcare services. One experience that forever stayed with me was when my cousin became seriously ill, and our family had to travel long distances just to get her the care she needed. This moment opened my eyes to the harsh reality so many people face every day.

When I moved to the United States, I couldn’t help but notice the vast differences in healthcare access. These experiences fueled my passion to make a change, starting with the communities I came from. Through programs like LearnServe Fellows and Incubator, I turned my vision into action, creating CARE to address the lack of accessibility to healthcare in underserved regions.

While Ethiopia is my starting point, my dream is to take CARE worldwide, reducing healthcare disparities and giving every community the chance to thrive, no matter where they are.

Chief Operating Officer

My name is Sebrin Abrar, and I am the Chief Operating Officer. I’ve always had a strong desire to assist underprivileged communities who lack access to modern healthcare due to its high costs. My goal is to merge my passion for technology with medicine and I aspire to design tools that will make surgeries safer, more efficient, and accessible to everyone.

Joining CARE is a perfect fit for me as it aligns with my values. By being part of this organization, I can help improve healthcare for communities that lack resources, especially in my home country of Ethiopia. It’s a chance to apply my skills, collaborate with passionate individuals, and make a meaningful impact within my community. My approach to this work is similar to placing one brick at a time to eventually build a home. Each small action and contribution adds up to something much bigger and more impactful. I believe that by consistently helping, whether it’s through organizing medical supplies, raising awareness, or spreading education, we can make a long-lasting difference in these communities.
